Who operates Homescreens
Homescreens operates this website. You can contact us about your information, account or privacy through the Contact page.
Signing in and your profile
We use Supabase to provide sign-in through Apple, Google and X. We receive an account identifier and, when available, your email address, name, profile picture and X handle. Your email is not displayed publicly. Your chosen name, username, profile photo or emoji, and optional social links are public. Apple may provide a private relay email instead of your personal email.
Provider permissions
We use providers for identity, not to import your social activity. X’s authentication integration includes permission to read posts, but Homescreens does not fetch posts, followers, contacts or messages. We do not request access to Google Drive, Gmail, contacts or calendars.
Screenshots and wallpapers
We store the screenshots, profile photos and wallpaper images you choose to upload in Cloudflare R2. Setup information includes your device model, iOS version, wallpaper source and timestamps. Approved setups and their images are public and can be viewed or downloaded by others. Review screenshots for private information before sharing. Automatic sensitive-information detection and blurring are not available.
Likes and discovery
Your Liked setups collection is private to your account. Other people cannot browse it. A setup owner can see their own aggregate like count; public like counts are not shown. Likes help order the Popular gallery. We store the screenshot revision you reviewed and your preference for setup-update notices. Homescreens has no followers, comments or advertising.
Moderation
New images are held for administrator review before publication. Administrators can inspect uploads, reports and account status, hide content, suspend accounts and remove content or accounts. Pending replacements do not replace a previously approved public setup until approved. We record administrative actions and reasons. No automated image-moderation service is currently connected.
Browser storage and drafts
Session cookies keep you signed in. Theme preferences and gallery navigation state are stored in your browser. Before sign-in, a pending setup and its images may be saved in IndexedDB so they survive the provider redirect on this browser and origin. Drafts expire after seven days of inactivity and are removed when successfully shared or explicitly discarded. Clearing site data removes these local drafts and preferences; it does not delete your server account.
Contact and account messages
The Contact form sends your message, email address and optional name through Resend to the Homescreens support inbox. We use short-lived keyed hashes of contact email and network information to limit spam. Suspension and restoration notices are also sent through Resend.
Service providers
Vercel hosts the website, Supabase stores account and database records, Cloudflare R2 stores uploaded images, and Resend delivers email. Apple, Google and X handle their respective sign-in services. These services may process information in different countries; the configured Supabase database is in Singapore and the Resend sending domain is configured in Tokyo. We do not claim that all processing stays in those locations.
Deletion and retention
You can edit your profile and setup, remove images, or delete your account in Account settings. Account deletion removes the account, profile, setups and likes and queues owned image files for deletion. Storage cleanup is retried if a provider request fails. Abandoned upload staging files expire after one day. Replaced images are removed when they are no longer needed by the current or retained approved setup. Moderation audit records and report records may remain with account references removed; provider backups and support correspondence are not covered by immediate image deletion.
External links and security
Wallpaper and social links can open other websites with their own privacy practices. Homescreens asks before opening an external wallpaper source. Server-side authorization limits access to private data and unapproved images, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Do not upload information you do not want reviewed or made public.
Your choices and questions
Use Account settings to delete your account and Edit profile or Edit setup to correct your information. For access, correction, deletion or other privacy questions that the interface cannot handle, contact us. We will update this notice as the service changes.
